The front patio at Lou's Barton Springs before the hungry swimmers arrived. Afterward, it was back to Lou’s to see if the post-pool meal would hit or be extremely mid. Instead, I headed over to Deep Eddy, where I worked on getting that long-haired, leather-skin guy look and plopped into the deep end for a bit. Barton Springs has been closed on Mondays and Fridays due to a lifeguard shortage, but the pool is always closed on Thursdays, and I just plum forgot. Finding a parking spot that was too good to be true proved to be just that. Hell, the point of opening a restaurant on Barton Springs Road is to catch hungry and thirsty sunbathers after they’re done at the pool. Once the heat set in, I wandered over to Barton Springs proper for a swim.
